Birgit "Biggi" Lechtermann (born March 8, 1960 in Gütersloh ) is a German television presenter , author and media trainer .

Life

Birgit Lechtermann first completed a commercial apprenticeship in Gütersloh at Bertelsmann AG. In 1983 she began her radio and TV career at RTL- Radio Luxemburg with an apprenticeship as an editor and presenter. Until 1993 she moderated daily programs like Guten Morgen Deutschland , the two-hour lunch show with Hugo Egon Balder and many others. At the same time as the radio, she initially presented the newly founded private television station RTL plus and, from 1985, the holiday program for children on ZDF . Biggi became known to a wider public primarily through the children's quiz show 1, 2 or 3 , which she hosted from 1985 to 1995. From 1985 to 1988 she hosted the ZDF series Computer Corner together with Klaus Möller . For RTL she moderated the primetime format Small Talk , for VOX the rate show Trivial Pursuit and for Super RTL she developed and moderated the format Die Super RTL Familie .

From 2000 onwards, Birgit Lechtermann developed various TV formats for several production companies, including the TV format We test the best for KiKA and ARD , which was awarded the Golden Spatz in the entertainment category in May 2005 . In 2006 she received the HumanAward from the Kluge Family Foundation at the University of Cologne for this children's knowledge show . Birgit Lechtermann has been working primarily as an author and media trainer for several years. She also published several radio plays for children. In 2009 she was co-author of the book The Code of Destiny . In September 2012 she published the book: Career, Children, Kitchen - This is how successful women do it . In 2014, Birgit Lechtermann developed and initiated the major up-and-coming chef competition “Next Queen of Cuisine”. In 2015/2016 she also published the book Thank you, Dog - a dog is the best medicine! From May to December 2018, she hosted the first the broadcast live to nine . At Health TV she has presented the program Lechtermann, Gesundheit und Leben since 2018 .

After additional training as an enrichment coach at the University of Cologne with Karl-J. She has been training executives, experts, moderators, etc. for appearances for over fifteen years. She is a lecturer at the German Speaking School in Berlin.

Lechtermann was married to the motorsport journalist Willy Knupp (died 2006) and has a daughter.
