Bill Brown (middle distance runner)

William 'Bill' Brown (born April 28, 1925 in Bel Air , Maryland - † April 25, 2018 in Silver Spring , Maryland) was an American middle-distance runner and sprinter .

In 1951 he won silver over 800 m at the Pan American Games in Mexico City and won the 4 x 400 meter relay with the US team .

In 1950 he was NCAA champion for Morgan State College starting over 880 yards with his personal best of 1: 51.2 min (corresponds to 1: 50.5 min over 800 m).
