Bill Collins (athlete)

Bill Collins (actually William Collins ; born November 20, 1950 ) is a former American sprinter .

In 1975 he was fourth over 200 m and eighth over 100 m at the Pan American Games in Mexico City and won the 4-by-100-meter relay .

At the Athletics World Cup in Düsseldorf in 1977 he set a world record in the 4 x 100 meter relay with Steve Riddick , Cliff Wiley and Steve Williams with 38.03 seconds. In the same year he won gold over 200 m and silver over 100 m at the Pacific Conference Games .
