William G. Klein (* 1948 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American entrepreneur and poker player .

Personal

Klein made his living owning a mortar manufacturing company that included a. was sold to DIY chains such as Home Depot . The company had 14 plants with a total of around 1400 employees. In 2005, Klein was diagnosed with cancer of the throat and sold the company. He has since retired and spends most of his free time playing golf and poker . Klein lives in Laguna Hills .

Poker career

Klein has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2008 . In all tournaments he plays, he donates his winnings or the amount of the buy-in to charity.

In early June 2008 , Klein was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. In May 2012, he took fifth place at the super high roller event of the World Poker Tour at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, which was endowed with over 260,000 US dollars . At the 2015 WSOP , Klein reached the final table of the most expensive event on the tournament schedule, the High Roller for One Drop, with a buy-in of $ 111,111.
