William Scott Prady (born June 7, 1960 in Detroit , Michigan , USA ) is an American screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Prady attended Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills . He began writing for Jim Hensons Muppets in 1982 at the age of 22 and quickly established himself as a writer of comedies and sitcoms .

In August 2003, Prady also announced his interest in the Democratic candidacy for governor of California , but could not run due to a lack of votes (474 ​​votes) for the election that was ultimately contested between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gray Davis .
