history

The group of companies has its origins in the wine shop founded by Jean Bindella in 1909. Jean Bindella, with Spanish roots from Ticino , was the first Chianti importer in Switzerland. After his death, his widow, Anna Bindella-Mayer, sold the wine shop to take care of her two properties with restaurants in Zurich. Her son, Rudolf Bindella, later laid the foundations for today's corporate group. In order to reactivate the wine trade of his late father, he bought a company that sold wines from well-known Italian and French producers. Later wineries in the cantons of Vaud , Wallis and Neuchâtel were added. In 1947 he took over the Plasterer his uncle Leone Bindella. In 1950 Rudolf Bindella's entry into the areas of construction and real estate management took place . Between 1950 and 1970 Rudolf Bindella bought ten restaurants in Zurich, Lausanne and Neuchâtel .

Today the group of companies is run by the third generation of Rudi Bindella.

The Kornhauskeller restaurant and the café in Bern's Kornhaus are run by Bindella; the latter should give way to a pizzeria .
