The rush red fescue ( Festuca unifaria , syn .: Festuca rubra subsp. Juncea ), also known as the cornice red fescue , is a sweet grass (Poaceae) and belongs to the red fescue group ( Festuca rubra agg.).
description
The rush-red fescue is a perennial hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of between 35 and 75 centimeters. It grows with short and longer runners in between, so that the grass grows noticeably tufted, small-eyed. The bristly leaf blades are between 0.4 and 2 millimeters in diameter. They are green to gray-green and rarely frosted. They have seven to nine, sometimes up to 11 vascular bundles . The panicle becomes up to 12 centimeters long.
Occurrence
The grass grows in poor grasslands , impact and flood grass , in grassland transition zones, short-lived Ruderalfluren , public green spaces and equipment, wasteland and settlement wasteland .
