The Bistum Auchi ( lat. : Dioecesis Auchianus ) is in Nigeria preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Auchi .

history

The Diocese of Auchi was established on December 4, 2002 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Omnium Fidelium from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Benin City and subordinated to it as a suffragan diocese. The first bishop was Gabriel Ghiakhomo Dunia .
