history
The diocese Bunda was on November 27, 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the apostolic constitution Cum esset petitum from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Musoma and the Archdiocese of Mwanza and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mwanza as a suffragan . Renatus Leonard Nkwande was the first bishop until February 2019 .
