The Diocese of Musoma ( Latin : Dioecesis Musomensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Musoma in Tanzania .
history
The forerunner of today's diocese Musoma is that on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. Apostolic Vicariate Musoma-Maswa founded out of the Apostolic Vicariate Mwanza , which was divided on June 24, 1950 into the Apostolic Prefecture Musoma and the Apostolic Vicariate Maswa . On July 5, 1957, today's Diocese of Musoma was founded. On November 27, 2010, the Musoma diocese gave parts of its territory to establish the Bunda diocese .
The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mwanza .
