The Bistum Gikongoro ( lat. : Dioecesis Ghikongoroensis ) is in Rwanda preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Gikongoro .
history
The diocese of Gikongoro was established on March 30, 1992 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Tantis quidem from cession of the diocese of Butare and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Kigali as a suffragan .
