The Diocese of Khulna ( Latin : Dioecesis Khulnensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in Bangladesh .

The Diocese of Khulna was established on January 3, 1952 as the Diocese of Jessore and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Dhaka as a suffragan . On June 14, 1956, the diocese was renamed and the seat of Jessore moved to Khulna .

The diocese has an area of ​​28,236 km². Among the 16 million inhabitants (mostly Muslim and a Hindu minority), Catholics form a small minority.

In addition to eleven parishes, there are around 70 mission stations. A foreign priest, incardinated here and active as a pastor among the nomads, Brothers of Charity, religious sisters from ten congregations and the community "Papa Giovanni XXIII", whose members are in various pastoral, social, charitable, engaged in educational and evangelizing works.

On February 2, 2017, the Khulna diocese was subordinated to the new Archdiocese of Chittagong as a suffragan.
