The diocese Kuzhithurai ( lat. : Dioecesis Kuzhithuraiensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Thirithuvapuram , Kuzhithurai .
history
The diocese of Kuzhithurai was established on December 22, 2014 by Pope Francis from cession of territory of the southeastern part of the diocese of Kottar and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Madurai as a suffragan .
He named Jerome Dhas Varuvel SDB as the first bishop , who retired in June 2020.
