Diocese of Lescar
The French diocese of Lescar was founded in the 6th century as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Eauze and has been under the Archdiocese also as a suffragan seat since the 9th century . The seat of the bishop was the city of Lescar .
On November 29, 1801, the diocese of Lescar was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the papal bull Qui Christi Domini and its territory was assigned to the diocese of Bayonne .
