The Roman Catholic Diocese of Port Blair ( lat. : Dioecesis Portus Blairensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Port Blair .
history
Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Ex quo Christ on June 22, 1984 from cession of territory from the Archdiocese of Ranchi , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese. Aleixo das Neves Dias SFX was the first diocesan bishop from its foundation until January 2019 .
