The list of GDR upper league players of 1. Suhler SV (1984/85) contains information on the 27 football players of 1. Suhler SV's predecessor BSG Motor Suhl, who in 1984/85 for one season in the GDR upper league , the top division of the GDR Football Association , played.
Coach Ernst Kurth initially nominated 19 players, but Uwe Troemel and Hartmut Weiss were not used in the top division . From their own youth team, Holger Bühner and Jens Clemen later played games in the GDR upper league. From other clubs and communities six more players were added in the course of the season, who were also used in the league team.
