The Diocese of Sanyuan ( lat. : Dioecesis Saniuenensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Sanyuan .

history

The diocese of Sanyuan was on November 1, 1931 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ut aucto from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Xi'an as Apostolic Prefecture Sanyuan . The Apostolic Prefecture of Sanyuan was founded on July 13, 1944 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution Congruum opportunumque raised to the Apostolic Vicariate .

The Apostolic Vicariate Sanyuan was on April 11, 1946 by Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Xi'an as a suffragan .
