Diocese of Vabres
The Diocese of Vabres ( lat. : Dioecesis Vabrensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Vabres-l'Abbaye .
history
The diocese of Vabres was on July 11, 1317 by Pope John XXII. Erected with the papal bull Salvator noster from cession of territory of the diocese of Rodez . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Bourges as a suffragan . The first bishop was Pierre d'Olargues . On October 3, 1678, the diocese of Vabres was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Albi as a suffragan.
On November 29, 1801, the diocese of Vabres was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the papal bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the dioceses of Cahors and Montpellier .
