The Diocese of Wuchang ( lat. : Dioecesis Uciamensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Wuchang .
history
The diocese of Wuchang was founded on December 12, 1923 by Pope Pius XI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Quo christiani from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of East Hubei as the Apostolic Prefecture of Wuchang . The Wuchang Apostolic Prefecture was founded on May 31, 1930 by Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Venerabilis frater raised to the Apostolic Vicariate .
The Apostolic Vicariate Wuchang was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Hankow as a suffragan .
