Björn Tyrner (born November 15, 1984 in Vienna ) is an Austrian media consultant and former handball player .

The 1.80 meter tall and 80 kilogram left winger was under contract with A1 Bregenz until his retirement in June 2011 . Before that he played with West Wien and the Aon Fivers Margareten in Vienna .

With Vienna he played in the European Cup Winners' Cup (2007) and the EHF Cup (2006, 2008) and with Bregenz in the EHF Cup (2010) and the EHF Champions League (2009, 2010).

He was part of the Austrian national team , for which he played 31 international matches.

He studied sports management at the Fernuniversität Düsseldorf and worked as a media consultant for the Liechtensteiner Volksblatt after his early career .
