Bjørnø is a Danish island in the " Danish South Seas ". It is located south of Fyn ( German  Fyn ).

The island belongs to the parish community ( Danish Sogn ) Fåborg Sogn , which until 1970 belonged to Harde Sallinge Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , then to Faaborg Kommune in what was then Fyns Amt , which became part of Faaborg-Midtfyn Commune with the local reform on January 1, 2007 has risen in the region of Syddanmark .

Bjørnø has a size of 1.5 km² and 26 residents (January 1, 2020). The highest point on the island is 24 meters above sea ​​level .

Bjørnø belongs to the Association of Danish Small Islands . There is a regular ferry connection with the motor ferry Lillebjørn to Faaborg, 3.5 km away . The island is car-free.
