The Blüchert publishing was a German publishing house published, many children's and non-fiction. The publishing house was founded in 1950 in Stuttgart by Walter F. Blüchert . In 1956 the publishing house was relocated to Hamburg . In 1968 the publisher ceased operations.

Disney publications

In 1950 the publisher acquired the German rights to publish the non-comic publications of Walt Disney titles. By 1962, around 130 Disney titles had appeared there. In addition to large-format picture books, there were also 40 titles in the Little Disney Books series , a language adaptation of various Disney Little Golden Books titles from the United States , as well as the Walt Disney Mickey Mouse books . Other well-known Disney titles are the photo volumes for nature films such as The Desert Lives , which were also published as licensed editions by Bertelsmann . Many of the Disney titles were later taken over by other publishers in the same or similar design. B. Little Disney Books from Delphin Verlag , or the Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Books from Pestalozzi Verlag .

Further publications

The first German editions of the youth book series Fünf Freunde and Die Schwarze Sieben by Enid Blyton were published by Blüchert Verlag . Other well-known publications are (selection):
