Kismet (alternative title: Black Souls ) is a satirical comedy by director Andreas Thiel based on a script by Kai Hensel with Steffen Wink , Fatih Akın , Jule Ronstedt and Axel Milberg in the leading roles.
action
The ambitious but somewhat naive law student Jan ( Steffen Wink ) feels uncomfortable in the relationship with his girlfriend Christine ( Jule Ronstedt ) and breaks up out of the blue. On the way home, he stops briefly to buy a bottle of water. He hears screams from a nearby park. When he looks, he finds the body of a young woman and her alleged murderer Tony ( Fatih Akın ). When Jan wants to alert the police, Tony asks for five minutes to prove his innocence. These five minutes should last the whole night and everyone involved will discover hidden, dark sides of themselves.
Reviews
"A successful debut film about the inescapability of predestined fate, which takes up the tried and tested theme of intertwined individual fates in the big city night and effectively alternates between thriller and grotesque"
