history

Blajova was first mentioned in a document in 1410. Over time, the estate has belonged to various noble families, such as the Danfy family from Duboz. On the Josephine land survey of 1717 Blaschova is entered with 40 houses. After the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867), the Banat was annexed to the Kingdom of Hungary within the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary . The official place name was Balázsd during the Hungarian period . The Treaty of Trianon on June 4, 1920 resulted in the Banat being divided into three parts , whereby Blajova fell to the Kingdom of Romania . The ruins of Count Wettel's castle in Blajova were preserved until the 1990s. After the fall of the Wall, however, these were removed.
