The Blakeney Point is a headland on the Budd Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It forms the northern cape of the Clark Peninsula .
A rough mapping was made using aerial photographs of the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947) and Operation Windmill (1947–1948). New mappings followed in 1956 by a Soviet Antarctic expedition and in the same year and 1962 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the headland in 1963 after Art Arvil Blakeney (1925-2002), aerial photographer for Operation Highjump.
