Architecture and history

The historic half-timbered house stretches in several parts along the north side of Blasiistraße. The oldest part of the building is the eastern wing, which dates back to around 1570. Other data already assume the time around 1550. There are also some remains of the originally lavish carvings on the facade, such as fan rosettes and notch cuts . The western part is a little more recent and was built according to a building inscription in 1697. There are flat ship hollows on the thresholds of the half-timbered facade . The corner compartments have ankle bands. In the courtyard of the property there is a three-story half-timbered house from the 17th century.

In the second quarter of the 19th century, a renovation took place, which resulted in three remarkable doors designed in the classicism style.

The dilapidated and badly in need of renovation was extensively restored from 1990 and converted into an auction house. 850 m² of exhibition space was created, spread over all floors, from the vaulted cellar to the floor. A weapons collection is housed in the basement. The auctions have been held since 1991 in the house's threshing floor , which used to be used as a shelter and repair facility for carriages. Art auctions have been held since 1992.
