action

Former gunslinger Dan Murphy has lived happily married for some time, calm and content. One day, however, he is recognized by a sheriff; when trying to stop this, Dan's son dies. Completely desperate, Dan kidnaps the sheriff's son and flees with his wife. Again he tries to build an honorable life.

Dan's dream is interrupted by two events: the ventures of the power-hungry Castle brothers and the appearance of a man paid by the sheriff in search of his son. This forces Dan to take up arms again and first of all to clear the Castle brothers and their helpers out of the way. He has to give the kidnapped child back to the sheriff, who, now disaffected and stubbornly staying in the area, visits him on his ranch and kills him in a duel.

criticism

“The names in this spaghetti western are different, but the actions are not: rides, shootings and little else. Craig Hill writhes as best he can, "wrote" Cinéma et Télécinéma "The lexicon of international film criticized the not very careful staging. The Protestant film observer , on the other hand, gave a predominantly positive assessment : "Skilfully concocted and quickly staged spaghetti westerns, not without restrictions even for adult visitors because of their considerable hardship."

Remarks

Often a longer original term is given; however, the Spanish database mundocine.net gives 80 minutes.

For the American Craig Hill it was the first film in Europe.
