Blexbolex
Blexbolex (real name Bernard Granger ; born May 26, 1966 in Douai , France ) is a French author and illustrator .
Life
Bernard Granger grew up in Auvergne , his parents were both German teachers. He began drawing comics as a child . After studying at the Angoulême School of Art , the École européenne supérieure de l'image , he worked as a printer and publisher for the Éditions Cornélius in Paris . He printed and published his first works himself. Later he worked with Le Dernier Cri , a publisher from Marseille specializing in comic art and screen printing . To date, Blexbolex has authored and designed over forty books, including numerous graphic novels , experimenting with new formats and styles for almost every project. In 2001 his first children's book was created in collaboration with Jean-Luc Fromental. Blexbolex also illustrated for various newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times and Le Monde . His works have been exhibited in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and New York City, among others. With Die Flucht nach Abecederia , one of his works appeared in German translation for the first time in 2007. Blexbolex has lived as a freelance author and illustrator in Germany since 2008, where he initially settled in Berlin and later moved to Leipzig. In his home country France, Blexbolex is one of the most successful aspiring draftsmen.
