Blues, Schmus and Applesauce is the title of a national festival that has been taking place in Laubach Castle Park (Upper Hesse) since 1993 . The idea was provided by Peter Turczak. Around 30 live blues bands play on several stages. The event, which takes place annually at the end of August, is rounded off by a series of activities and exhibitions on the subject of apples and cider. A special feature of the festival are blues bands who sing in dialect in a specially set up tent . The title Blues, Schmus & Apple Sauce is registered with the Federal Patent Office as word and image right. The conception and artistic direction lies with Kulturconsult eK in Wettenberg.
