action

The peaceful existence of the small town of Tucson, Arizona is disrupted when a gang of gangsters led by Bill Lexter enter the city and terrorize the residents because they want to intercept a gold shipment to the local bank and steal the gold. When the townspeople found out about the gang's plan, they put up a fight. A “catfight” between two saloon girls helps to divert the attention of the bandits so that the fight with revolvers, rifles and fists can be decided in favor of the townspeople and the gold transport arrives safely.

criticism

"Largely out of date spaghetti westerns with a simple adventure story told at a slow pace, which at best strives for some psychological credibility in places."

Christian Keßler notes: (The director) “fumbles (...) a lot with unusual camera angles. The case always becomes difficult where a scene is supposed to appear alive. "

Remarks

It was only after the success of Sergio Leone's first dollar film that the film was added to the original title A Tucson si muore .

RdC - Cinematografo.it notes that the locations "absolutely cannot simulate western locations".

The film songs Per un dollaro a Tucson si muore and Quando Jane spara are sung by Vinicio Gori .
