action

The prostitute Clara is kicked out of her brothel by her boss after she refused to serve the suitor Buck. Clara wants to spend the night in a remote hotel , where she meets the deranged redneck Judd, who owns the hotel. Behind the porch Judd keeps a full-grown Nile crocodile as a pet and after realizing that Clara is in the horizontal trade, he attacks her and pushes her with a rake into the swamp, where the crocodile kills and eats her.

Soon after, the couple Faye and the troubled Roy arrive at the hotel. They are accompanied by their young daughter Angie. Angie's dog is eaten by the crocodile and Angie is heartbroken. Faye and Roy try to calm her down. Meanwhile, Harvey Wood and his daughter Libby come to the hotel and look for information on Clara, Harvey's daughter. But you don't stay long, you go to the brothel. Roy decides to shoot the crocodile. Judd attacks him with a scythe and then feeds him to the crocodile. Faye is chased and tied up by Judd.

Together with Sheriff Martin, Harvey and Libby interview Miss Hattie, Clara's former boss, who claims she doesn't know. Harvey drives alone to the hotel, where Judd attacks him and feeds him to the crocodile. Buck and Lynnette go to the hotel, where Judd Buck stumbles into the swamp, where he is eaten by the crocodile. Lynette can escape. Libby and Angie fight a life and death fight with Judd in the hotel, in the course of which they finally succeed in pushing Judd into the swamp, where he is eaten by his own crocodile.
