Boarding team

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A boarding team is a group of four experienced seafarers from the ARGE Küstenschutz who, in an emergency, can support the crew on board a damaged vessel in establishing an emergency tow connection or on board a ship abandoned by the crew.

The ARGE Küstenschutz can always fall back on two boarding teams as part of the German coast security concept . The boarding teams consist of a nautical officer and three ship mechanics . The “Nordsee” boarding team is permanently stationed on board the Nordic emergency tug . It is exchanged every three weeks in Cuxhaven . The boarding team "Baltic Sea" is based on land. It is within a set-up ready for an hour.

The ARGE Küstenschutz has an agreement with the naval command of the German Navy in order to be able to fall back on the SAR helicopters of the naval aviation for the transfer of a boarding team to an injured party .
