Bob McFarlane
Bob McFarlane (actually Robert Malcolm McFarlane; born May 28, 1927 in London , Ontario ; † February 27, 2006 ibid.) Was a Canadian sprinter and middle-distance runner .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1948, he reached the semifinals over 400 m and was eliminated in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run.
He was Canadian champion twice over 400 m or 440 yards (1948, 1950) and 880 yards (1949, 1950). He set his personal best over 440 yards of 47.5 s (equivalent to 47.2 s over 400 m) on July 4, 1947 in Montreal .
His brother Don McFarlane also started as a sprinter in the 1948 Olympic Games.
