Bob Whitfield Lectress III (* 18th October 1971 in Carson , California ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He played a total of 15 years in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Whitfield attended high school in Los Angeles , California. He later went to Stanford University , where he also played for the college football team.

NFL

Atlanta Falcons

Whitfield was selected in the 1992 NFL Draft in the first round in eighth position overall by the Atlanta Falcons . In his first NFL season, he was not yet seeded in his position. It was not until 1993 that he was able to assert himself in the position of offensive tackle. In the 1998 season he reached Super Bowl XXXIII with the Falcons which was lost to the Denver Broncos at 34:19 . That season, Whitfield was selected for his good performance in the Pro Bowl . He stayed with the Falcons until the 2003 season , for which he completed a total of 178 games.

Jacksonville Jaguars

For the 2004 season Whitfield moved to the Jacksonville Jaguars . He stayed here for a year.

New York Giants

For the 2005 season Whitfield moved to the New York Giants . On February 12, 2007, he announced that he would end his professional career.

After the professional career

Whitfield was inducted into the Stanford University Hall of Fame on November 11, 2011 .
