Bobby Evans (* 24. March 1997 in Allen , Texas ) is an American American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He plays for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League (NFL).

High school

Evans attended high school in his hometown of Allen, Texas, and played for the Allen Eagles on the offensive tackle position until 2015 . Before moving to the offensive line , he played two seasons as a tight end .

At that time he was 6'4 "(193 cm) tall and 280 pounds (127 kg). On July 10, 2013, he accepted the University of Oklahoma scholarship offer . The Texas A & M University offered him a scholarship.

247Sports saw Evans as a 4-star recruit with a rating of 0.9260. He was rated the 171st best player in the 2015 class, the 23rd best player from Texas, and the 13th best offensive tackle in the United States .

In high school, he played with quarterback Kyler Murray , the first overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft . He also played with Murray in his freshman year of college.

From the 2015 season to the 2018 season, he started in 40 games for the Oklahoma Sooners.

In the 2015 season he put in a red shirt year .

In the 2016 season, he received an Honorable Mention in the All- Big 12 College Coaching Election as well as an appreciation for his academic achievements. He played 12 games as a right offensive tackle, the equivalent of 594 snaps , and only allowed two sacks .

In 2017 he again received an honorable mention in the All-Big-12 vote for college coaches and an acknowledgment of his academic achievements. He started all games as a right offensive tackle. This season, he protected the number 1 pick of the Cleveland Browns of the NFL Draft in 2018 , Baker Mayfield .

In his final season with the Oklahoma Sooners, 2018, he was elected to the second team of the All-Big 12. He started all 14 games of the season as a left offensive tackle. That year, the Oklahoma Sooners' offensive line won the Joe Moore Award .

The analysts particularly praised Evans' long arms as they would enable him to hold the Edge Rusher or Defensive End far away. His versatility, being able to play both right and left offensive tackle, was positively mentioned. He was rated as a third or fourth round pick and a future starter in the NFL.

Ultimately, Evans was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 3rd round with the 97th pick of the 2019 NFL Draft .

In his rookie season , Evans started due to a knee injury to the right offensive tackle, Rob Havenstein , in seven games and was used in a total of nine games. The press welcomed the ailing Havenstein's replacement and Evans showed his potential.
