Bodyteam 12 is an American short - Documentary about the Ebola fever epidemic in 2014 by David Darg from the year 2015 . The film shows real people, the "Body Team 12" ( English for: Leichenteam 12 ), who salvage contaminated corpses. The film was in 2015 at the Tribeca Film Festival Award and the Academy Awards 2016 as Best Short Documentary nominated.

The work of a group of helpers from the Red Cross in Monrovia , Liberia , after the Ebola virus triggered the epidemic there in 2014 is shown. The protagonist is Garmai Sumo, the only woman in the group. Sumo heads the "Body Team 12", she is medically trained . Sumo has to rescue the dead from the houses in which the bereaved still live and is thus at the center of countless stories of suffering.
