Bogdan Andrei Criciotoiu (born March 13, 1990 in Târgu Jiu ) is a Romanian handball player .

Career

The 1.96 m tall and 105 kg heavy left-handed player mostly plays as a right backcourt player . First he ran on in his hometown for Energia Lignitul Pandurii Târgu Jiu, with whom he made his international debut in the 2010/11 EHF Cup and scored ten goals in two games. From February 2011 he was under contract with the Romanian top club HCM Constanța , with whom he was champion and cup winner in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. He also played in the EHF Champions League every season . After missing the qualification for the top class in 2013/14 , he reached the Final Four in the EHF Europe Cup 2013/14 in Berlin , where he finished fourth. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the German Bundesliga promoted TSG Friesenheim . From summer 2015 he ran for the ThSV Eisenach . A year later he joined the Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest . In September 2016 he moved to Bergischer HC , from the start of the 2019/20 season he was under contract with the Romanian club CSM Bucharest . In January 2020, Criciotoiu joined the Greek association AEK Athens . After Criciotoiu won the Greek championship with AEK 2020, he left the club.

Criciotoiu is part of the Romanian national team . He has played a total of 33 international matches so far .
