Bogdan Jalowietzki (* 13. December 1967 in Katowice , Poland ) is a former German Volleyball - National player and current - trainer .
Career
Born in Silesia , Bogdan Jalowietzki began playing volleyball in 1982 in his home at GKS Katowice . In 1987 Jalowietzki went to Germany to the regional league team MTV Mettmann . Because of his German grandfather, he received German citizenship without any problems. After half a year in 1988 with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen , Jalowietzki moved to league competitor Moerser SC , with whom he was very successful. In 1990 he won the European CEV Cup and became German runner-up, in 1991 he won the DVV-Cup and was again German runner-up, in 1992 he finished third in the European Cup Winners' Cup and became German champion , and in 1993 he won the DVV-Cup again. In 1995 Bogdan Jalowietzki moved to Lake Constance for VfB Friedrichshafen , where he quickly became a leading player. He was one of the best block players in Germany for ten years and was regularly selected for top positions in the rankings of volleyball magazine . Jalowietzki achieved six German championships, three runner-up championships and seven DVV cup victories. There was also a second and a third place in the Champions League . In 2005 Bogdan Jalowietzki ended his career with his fifth "double".
Between 1992 and 2003, Jalowietzki played 122 international matches for the German national team .
Since 2009 Bogdan Jalowietzki has been assistant coach of the Friedrichshafen Volley Young Stars , where his son Jan also played in the second division.
