Bogdan Otavă

Bogdan Laurențiu Otavă (born February 13, 1987 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian bobsledder .

Otavă first started in 2008 as a push in the Romanian two-man bobsleigh. At the Junior World Championship in 2009 he reached eleventh place with the four-man bobsleigh driven by Dorin Grigore . In 2011 Otavă took part in a world championship for the first time . The four-man bobsleigh, driven by Nicolae Istrate, landed in 23rd place at the Königssee .

A year later, the Romanians reached 16th place at the 2012 Bobsleigh World Championships in Lake Placid. In the same year Otavă managed his best placement in the Bobsleigh World Cup , in Whistler the Romanians were eleventh. In 2014 Otavă took part in the Winter Olympics. In Sochi the Romanians finished 24th in the four-man bobsleigh driven by Andreas Neagu .
