Bogislaw VI. (around 1350 - March 7, 1393 ) was Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast .

Life

Together with his brother Wartislaw VI. In 1365 he joined the successor to his father Barnim IV , but initially under the tutelage of their uncle Bogislaw V. († 1374). Because of disputes it came on May 25, 1368 in Anklam to a three-year contract, which Bogislaw V was entitled to the area on the other side of the Swine , while the brothers got the area on this side.

During that time, they repeatedly robbed the area from Albrecht von Mecklenburg until Wartislav VI. and some of his knights were taken prisoner on November 10, 1368 near Damgarten, from which he had to break free with 1,300 marks.

Shortly before his death in 1390, he founded the Ahrenshoop settlement as a port on the Loop and secured it with a castle. The settlement was destroyed by Rostock troops in 1395 and the port was filled in.

After his death, the inheritance fell to his brother as he had no male offspring.
