Bogusław Bidziński

Bogusław Bidziński (born April 17, 1973 in Bolesławiec ) is a Polish opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Bidziński graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw from 1994 to 2000 . He has won prizes and awards at several singing competitions, including the 1999 Maria Caniglia Singing Competition in Italy and the Hariclea Darclée International Singing Competition in Romania .

In 2000/2001 he continued his vocal training at the International Opera Studio in Zurich . He also attended master classes with Ryszard Karczykowski , Claudia Eder , Renata Scotto and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf .

He made his stage debut in 1998 as Count René in the operetta Der Graf von Luxemburg at the Szczecin Opera House . This was followed by engagements at the Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera (as Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville ), at the Teatr Wielki in Poznań and at the Warsaw National Opera (as Lenski in Eugen Onegin ).

Bidziński has been a permanent member of the Zurich Opera House since the 2001/2002 season . He was mainly there in the tray of the game Tenors and Tenorbuffos heard. In Zurich he sang Florindo in Le donne curiose by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari , Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail , Nathanael in Hoffmanns Erzählungen , Remendado in Carmen , Augustin Moser in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg , Edmondo in Manon Lescaut , Gottesnarr in Boris Godunow , Aufidio in Lucio Silla , Gastone in La traviata , Normanno in Lucia di Lammermoor , Abdallo in Nabucco , Borsa in Rigoletto and Pong in Turandot . As a permanent member of the ensemble, he also regularly took on smaller roles, including in the operas Fidelio (First Prisoner) and Parsifal (4th Squire).

In April 2005 he made his role debut as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at Teatr Wielki in Poznań.
