Bohdaniwka ( Ukrainian Богданівка ; Russian Богдановка Bogdanowka ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 780 inhabitants (2006).
The village is known as the birthplace and place of work of the folk artist Kateryna Bilokur .
The village, founded in 1730, was located in Ujesd Pyrjatyn in the Poltava governorate until the communist territorial reform . It is the center of the district council of the same name , which also includes the village of Koptewytschiwka ( Коптевичівка ) with about 270 inhabitants. In the village there is a museum about the artist in the former home of Kateryna Bilokur, a folk artist who lived here between 1900 and 1961. South of the village is a train station on the Kiev – Poltava railway line .
Bohdaniwka is located on the M 03 trunk road in the east of Jahotyn district on the border with Poltava Oblast . The district center of Jahotyn is 23 km to the west and the capital Kiev is 120 km to the west of the village.
