Bojaro-Leschatschi ( Ukrainian Бояро-Лежачі ; Russian Бояро-Лежачи ) is a village in the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast with about 450 inhabitants (2001).
The village is located at an altitude of 134 m on the right bank of the Seim , on the opposite bank of which lies the Russian settlement Tjotkino , which can be reached via a border station northeast of Bojaro-Leschatschi on the Russian-Ukrainian border . The Rajon center Putywl is located 27 km northwest and the Oblast center Sumy about 70 km southeast of Bojaro-Leschatschi.
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1648, is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in the southeast of Putywl Raion , to which the villages Doroshiwka ( Дорошівка , ⊙ ) with about 5 inhabitants, Kruschok ( Кружок , ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants and Rivne ( Рівне , ⊙ ) with about 120 inhabitants.
Not far from the village is the state conservation area Serednjossejmskyj ( Державний ландшафтний заказник “Середньосеймський” ). The trees in the wetland deciduous forests of the protected area are on average 60 years old. Among other things, oak, aspen, ash and linden, elm and maple trees grow here. Furthermore, there are numerous hazelnut bushes in the forests, meadows and lakes of the protected area where beavers and mute swans live.
