Bojewaja Maschina Pechoty ( Russian Боевая Машина Пехоты ) is the Russian name for a family of Soviet / Russian amphibious armored personnel carriers . It means "combat vehicle of the infantry".

BMP-1

The BMP-1 was first delivered to the Red Army in 1969 . It was the first armored personnel carrier in the world to enable mounted combat, and it was also equipped with anti-tank guided weapons.
