Bojidar Dimov

Bojidar Dimov ( Bulgarian Божидар Димов , born January 31, 1935 in Lom an der Donau (Bulgaria); † June 19, 2003 in Cologne ) was a Bulgarian composer.

Dimov studied piano and composition at the Sofia Music Academy with Wesselin Stojanow and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Hanns Jelinek , Karl Schiske , Erwin Ratz and Friedrich Cerha . Since 1968 he lived in Cologne. From 1969 to 1972 he was a member of Group 8 Cologne ; In 1970 he founded the ensemble for new music trial and error . From 1972 he taught at the Rheinische Musikschule in Cologne, from 1996 at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf.
