The Bolter Canal and the Bolter Mühle lock in Mecklenburg are said to have been built between 1832 and 1837 as the first navigable connection between the Müritz and Berlin . It connects the southeastern bank of the Müritz with the Leppinsee via the Caarpsee and the Woterfitzsee . With the subsequent chain of lakes a navigable link between the (western) was Eldegewässern and the (eastern) Havel, created 100 years later - after the construction of Mirow channel with the lock Mirow - the old drive (Müritz) was. The Bolter Canal is located in the Müritz National Park .
