Bonaventure Iten

Bonaventura Iten (born April 20, 1909 in Unterägeri ; † June 18, 1996 in Zug ; Catholic , entitled to live in Unterägeri) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Bonaventura Iten came on April 20, 1909 in Unterägeri the son of the farmer , the Municipal Council and Municipal writer Bonaventura senior Iten and Mary, born Iten, to the world. After attending secondary school in Unterägeri, Iten completed a banking apprenticeship from 1925 to 1934 and then worked as a bank clerk in Zug. Afterwards he was president of Zuger Kantonalbank and Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe .

Bonaventura Iten, who was married to Louise, the daughter of the master bookbinder Daniel Häusler from Unterägeri, died on June 18, 1996, two months after turning 87 in Zug.

Iten, a member of the FDP, began his political career from 1935 to 1954 as a community clerk for Unterägeri. From 1947 to 1950 he was a member of the Zug Cantonal Council . He was then a member of the Government Council from 1954 to 1974 , which he chaired from 1961 to 1962 and 1973 to 1974 as Landammann . As director of the interior, Iten prepared the controversial revision of the municipal law.
