The shipyard Leonhard Mader GmbH is in Fisching in Waging am See based shipyard for sailing boats. As early as 1954, wooden boats were built in the joinery founded by Leonhard Mader senior in 1952.

Built classes

successes

  • At the 1972 Olympics with the sailing competitions held in Kiel, the Finn class boats provided by the organizer came from Mader.
  • At the 1976 Olympic sailing events on Lake Ontario off Kingston , all Tempest class boats were Mader boats, with one exception. In addition, a Brazilian FD by Mader ( Reinaldo Conrad / Peter Ficker ) won bronze.
  • In 1977 Dennis Conner won the world championship with a Mader star boat.
  • At the 1980 Summer Olympics with the sailing competitions in Tallinn , Mader boats won gold and silver in the star boat and bronze in the FD class.
  • In 1984 there was silver for a star boat and an FD from Mader and once bronze for an FD at the Olympics in Los Angeles .
  • At the Olympics in Seoul in 1988 and in Barcelona in 1992 , the first three places in the FD went to Mader Boats, and a star from Mader won third place in 1988 in Seoul.
  • In 2000 Mader boats won first place in both the Tempest class and the FDs.
  • 2001 won a Tempest from Mader at the world championship.
  • In 2003, among other things, a 1st place at the Tempest World Championship in Grandson, Switzerland, and a 1st place at the Kiel Week went to a star boat.
  • In 2004, 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th place at the FD World Championship in Warnemünde and the first three places at the Tempest World Championship went to Mader boats.
  • In 2005 a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the Tempest and FD World Championships went to Mader boats.
  • In 2006 Mader boats won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the World Championships in the Tempest class.

In addition to the Olympic medals and world championships of the respective classes mainly listed here, Mader boats have won a number of other titles since the shipyard was founded. B. at European championships and various German, Austrian and Swiss championships.
