Reinaldo Conrad (born May 31, 1942 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian sailor .

successes

Reinaldo Conrad took part in the Olympic Games five times . In his Olympic debut in Rome in 1960 , he finished fifth in the Finn dinghy and then switched to the Flying Dutchman boat class . In this he won the bronze medal with Burkhard Cordes in Mexico City in 1968 when they finished third behind the British and German boats. Four years later , in fourth place in Munich , they just missed another medal win. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , Conrad started with Peter Ficker and won another bronze medal with him. With Manfred Kaufmann , he was in 1980 in Moscow eighth.

At the 1973 World Championships in Rochester , Conrad won the bronze medal in the Flying Dutchman with Burkhard Cordes. He won a total of four medals at Pan-American Games : in Snipe he took first place in 1959 in Chicago with Antonio Barros and in 1963 in São Paulo with his brother Ralph Conrad , in the Flying Dutchman he won silver with Burkhard Cordes in Winnipeg in 1967 and in 1975 the gold medal in Mexico City .
