Boris Bachert (born April 16, 1981 in Buchen ) is a former German tennis player .
Together with Nicolas Kiefer , Alexander Rădulescu , Daniel Leßke and Björn Phau, Bachert was part of the Mercedes Junior Team founded in 1997 under the leadership of Boris Becker . Ultimately, however, he never managed to establish himself successfully on the ATP Tour. On July 31, 2000, he reached his highest position in the individual tennis world rankings with the 877th place. At the ATP tournament in Kitzbühel in 1998 he made it into the main field, but failed in the first round to Rainer Schüttler . In 1999 he lost to Marzio Martelli in Freudenstadt's Challenger tournament in the first main round. He can also show a victory against the Australian Paul Hanley in the qualification of the ATP Heineken Challenger tournament 2000 in Ho Chi Minh City , but then lost to Petr Kralert in the first main round . In 2009 he was a member of the TC Wolfsberg Pforzheim team in the 2nd Bundesliga tennis . However, he remained without commitment.
